Foundation—Civic Involvement Committee

The Civic Involvement Committee directs the Company’s charitable giving and is composed of employees and volunteers. The Company’s employees serve on the committee for a staggered three-year term and meet monthly to review 10 to 15 requests for financial assistance.

The committee also plays a critical role in the evaluation process of making major donations on behalf of The John Buck Company Foundation and selecting candidates for the annual Spring Fling beneficiary. These evaluations include a site visit and an in-depth review of written grant applications from each charity.

This service and dedication has had a significant impact on those who need assistance in the Chicago Metropolitan area. Each committee member has found the experience to be relevant and gratifying. The Company hopes to foster a spirit of community involvement as a lifelong ideal for every employee.
