Betsy Traczek, President of the Buck Management Group, died on December 7, 2019 after losing her battle with cancer.  Betsy was a Principal with JBC and a member of the Board of Directors.  She joined the company in 1995 directly from Marquette University, starting in the accounting department and moved on to Property Manager at 35 W. Wacker, and then president of the Management Division, Principal and Board member. She spent her entire career being an exemplary leader, helping JBC set the highest industry standards.

Betsy’s 25-year tenure with JBC was marked with outstanding accomplishments overseeing all JBC-owned and third-party property management functions.  She coordinated the implementation of portfolio-wide initiatives especially related to insurance, real estate taxes, customer satisfaction and security.  Betsy was directly involved with the management of over 3.35 million square feet of Class A office space at JBC, and oversaw the completion of a complex, simultaneous renewal of two major tenants totaling over one million square feet at Chicago’s Leo Burnett Building.

Betsy was a consummate professional, model leader and mentor.  Her expertise and influence generated immediate respect, confidence and loyalty from all who worked with her. It was her dedication, grace and admirable work ethic that set her apart everywhere she went.
