JBC’s development of the North Bridge District represents one of the most ambitious mixed-use projects in Chicago history. Spanning over nine blocks, it includes a mix of retail, office, hotel, residential, and parking totaling 5.7 million square feet. To execute the master plan, JBC purchased air rights and modified existing entitlements to create and maximize value. Anchored by an ambitious reconstruction of the McGraw-Hill Building, the project’s success sparked a redevelopment boom that continues to this day, with new growth extending from Michigan Avenue to Wolf Point and beyond.
